Black Tea (100% oxidized)
In production, the tea leaf is allowed to fully oxidize. The length of time for oxidation to occur is controlled by experience not science. The oxidation process gives the Black teas a darker color and rich flavor that can be astringent, biscuity, coppery, spicy or sweet. Balck tea from India and Sri Lanka is the most common tea consumed in the West.
